ANZAC DAY PARADE Brisbane 2010
The application submitted for approval to march with our HMAS Voyager All Crews banner in the ANZAC Day Parade 2010 has been accepted and we will march with the banner and positioned in the Order of the March with the DDG & Daring Class Assn. at serial 34
We are expecting to organise a BBQ lunch and drinks afterwards at the Queensland Maritime Museum.
The arrangements have been made to have our BBQ gathering at the Maritime Museum (organised by Bill Cresswell) following the Anzac Day March 2010 in Brisbane. The FESR and HMAS Quiberon guys will be joining in with us at the Museum. What we need to know is numbers please so as we can try and finalise the BBQ unit and possibly be able to provide the beer and soft drinks at a reasonable charge. FESR exec will arrange that. You will of course have to bring along your food but we need to know if you would prefer us to organise the meat and bread rolls and provide a small charge to cover the cost. Let me have some feedback please on numbers and suggestions.
It is also necessary to have some idea of the numbers intending to march. Thanks and look forward to seeing you all at the March and BBQ. Cheers Les Sheehan (07) 3264-2589 lnisent@gmail.com

Re: ANZAC DAY PARADE Brisbane 2010
The ANZAC Day march is drawing nearer. A gathering of FESR, Quiberon and Voyager people will be at the Queensland Maritime Museum after the March.
It is unfortunate that I will most likely not be able to March as my back (spondylosis of the lower region) has taken a turn for the worse and I am presently not very mobile and will no doubt have to have the regular injections to help overcome the problem and pain. I am hoping to make it to the QMM gathering afterwards all going well.
I have had very little feedback on the numbers wanting to gather at the QMM after the march or even march under the Voyager banner.

Sadly disappointed in the numbers supporting the ANZAC DAY march. I do not now at this stage if it is worth registering to permit a separate entry next year with the banner. Those who attended this years march and BBQ at the Qld Maritime museum had a great day with the food and drinks supplied courtesy of our FESR Association and the gathering was supported by FESR, Quiberon and Voyager people. I had expected to get some photos emailed to me to post on the website but none have turned up.
My situation prevented me from attending the March and the BBQ function but I am pleased to know that everyone had a great time.
