"During the past five years, submissions have been put to the incumbent Ministers of Veterans’ Affairs, to have due recognition acknowledged and confirmed properly, by gazetting an official Day of Remembrance for those Australian Armed Forces personnel who served in the two post WW2 campaigns of the Malayan Emergency from 1948 – 1960, and The Indonesian Confrontation with Malaysia from 1962 – 1966."
