Gunlayer Armourers (GA)
G'day Bill
I am afraid I cannot respond to your request as a "True Blue GA2 in the Seaboat Crew" as half-way through my GA2 Course in 1964, the powers to be decided to change the category to Quartermaster Gunner.
I recall we kept gangway watches in Dogtown during the final refit in the second-half of 1963. I remember well, the midnight scrans of multiple egg omelettes we cooked up in the galley of the accommodation ship (Queenbee or Quickie Maru?).
George Graham was your winger, I recall.
Anyhow mate, I hope you are in good nick and looking forward to Ballina.

Phantom of the Armament Broadcast System
Good onya Pom
I visited the Tina a couple of years ago and you and your volunteer mates have got a good memorabilia display below decks.
On the subject of GA's: Can you recall the name of the CRBFD sweeper who used to get on the Armament Broadcast from the Director and stir up Bill Hackworth in the TS. Old Bill would hear the comments and his face would become even redder than it normally was! I recall the AB in question had the moniker of Yack Yack. It definitely wasn't Dusty Miller as he was normally a quiet sort of a bloke.
