Website photo gallery

A new photo album was added to the Website today (15/9/10) Seven photos of the quarterly Social get together in SE Qld. This one was hosted by Graham and Marlene Burns in Newport. 35 in total attended and a great day enjoyed by all. A relatively new attendee Geoff (Bomber) Brown attended his second one of these gatherings and for the first time we seen Marge and Richard (Jim) Palmer come along. Weather was absolutely perfect for the day and those attending were given a preview of the items that will be added to the Church on Sunday 13th February at the memorial service for HMAS Voyager and shipmates. Some names have been added to the photos in the gallery to help recognise people.
Our next Social FOV (Friends of Voyager) gathering is on the 5th December and will be hosted by John & Rona Belton. This is our annual XMAS gathering with a requirement to bring along a pressie of a value approx $10-00 so that everyone receives a XMAS present and enjoys a memorable day.

Plans for the Reunion next year (12th & 13th Feb) are well under way with many already committed to attend. It is unfortunate that we have had to limit numbers attending to 160 persons for the Saturday evening and we may be able to cater for up to 240 on the Sunday luncheon farewell.

We have been asked if a Meet & Greet has been planned for the Friday and so are now considering having a very casual gathering at the Pineapple Hotel on the Friday and if sufficient want to do that then we can try to book the upstairs function room for it. Failing that we have to be downstairs in the main area.
