Brian Parkes (known as Larry during his Navy days) passed away on Monday 27 September, 2010 at Greenslopes Hospital (Brisbane) his funeral is being held at 1pm Monday 4 October, 2010 at Mt Gravatt Crematorium, Mains road, Macgregor. He joined the RAN in June 1953 and DEE'd Nov 1966 having served on HMA Ships Australia, Voyager, Tobruk, Melbourne, Vengeance and Queenborough as well as Shore bases, Cerberus, Pengion, Kuttabul,
He was also a HMAS Voyager survivor. He was aged 75 years. His service no. was R49527.
