It is with saddest feelings I post this entry for a shipmate.
Keith William Young (Signals / Communications Branch) crossed the bar on the 28th December 2011 aged 90 yrs young.
Keith served on many HMA Ships and shore establishments during his very long service career with the RAN.
Keith was born in NSW and enlisted from Brisbane on the 10th Jan 1938 and Date of DEE Dec 1950 after which he joined the Naval Dockyard Police and finally retired as a Sgt in 1976. .
He saw service in the following HMA ships, Cerberus, Stuart, Lonsdale, Hobart, Arunta, Gympie, Maryborough, Kanimbla, Kuttabul, Harman, Moreton(Whyalla) Warrnambool, Penguin, Kanimbla, Sydney, Shropshire and HMS Glory. During this time he also had a short time on Voyager I.
Keith, a father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather is survived by his beloved wife Rita, Children Marilyn and Stephanie and Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
