ANTHONY (Tony) JOSEPH ISAAC :
Service Number - R56959 :
Crossed the Bar : 19:55 approx. Tuesday 21st January 2014 age 71 yrs
Enlisted in the RAN 1969 (Greenies Branch - Moran Division)
Rate : LEM(WE)
DEE : 7/4/1969
HMA Ships : Cerberus,Voyager Aug 1961-Jan 1963,Anzac,Stuart,Queenborough,Kuttabul.
It is with deep sadness I pass along the news of a Shipmate, Mate close friend and a staunch member of the F.E.S.R. Association.
Tony crossed the bar at approx 19:55 on 21/1/2014 whilst in palliative care at St. Vincents, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane.
Tony was a regular and solid supporter of F.E.S.R. and rarely, if ever missed a meeting and always willing to do everything physically possible supporting the various functions, meetings and social gatherings. Always one of the first to dive in and help out physically even while strongly battling his cancer. Over the last 18 months Tony battled with the disease and towards the end with constant treatment and hospitalisation makes his final voyage to God's Harbour.
Tony is survived by his Wife Carmel and and loving family.
He will be very noticeably missed by the FOV (Friends of Voyager), Voyager family, F.E.S.R. Association and friends and family.
Tony enlisted in the RAN in April 1960 and DEE'd April 1969 after 9 years service.

Thank you Les for passing that information along. Both myself and wife would like
to pass on our condolences to Tony's family and also to yourself as I feel you
were a close mate.
My memory is not what it was but I feel I should remember him as we were in the
same intake of April 1960 with the same DEE date had I not re engaged for a further
3 years. His suffering is over.
Our kindest regards,
Buck & Rhelma Ryan.

Your description of Tony (Mate close friend and a staunch member of the F.E.S.R. Association) was perfect. He and Carmel were one of the greatest couples one could wish to associate with, please pass on to that lovely lady our most sincere regrets.
